Alessandro Casella

Producer & DJ

Alessandro Casella’s artistic experience began in 1994, when together with Pierpaolo De Iulis, he founded Reverend Moon Records, a recording adventure for music from the late 50s to the late 70s. The growing interest in cinema, design, fashion of the 50s & 60s and Italian soundtracks, led him to create and publish a magazine The Jaguar Magazine, published from October 1999 in 2 languages and distributed abroad.

To maximise its distribution Alessandro was invited to play his 45LP in the best clubs in the world, from Las Vegas Grind to Moscow, where in 2004 he organized a vintage fashion parade: The Jaguar Fashion Show, followed with great interest by the local media. In 2001 Alessandro also opened the Isola del Cinema in Rome on the Tiber Island. He put together a two-day screening premiere of the first film "CQ" by Roman Coppola (son of the famous Francis Ford Coppola) and Danger Diabolik by Mario Bava.

In 2004 he started an artistic collaboration with Massimo Innocenti that led to the realization of one of the most important entertainment concepts in Italy at that time: The Micca Club. Within the Micca Club Alessandro created an online FM radio, a record label, a magazine and above all a brave artistic program which met with great success. He also brought to Italy for the first time the Burlesque Festival and put together two international festivals of 60s music and a Jazz soundtracks Festival. Today every Saturday night at the Micca presents The Night of the Jaguar with AlCasey as resident DJ.

For two years he worked as a music consultant for the Flipper Music Edizioni Musicali, the Italian leader in cinema-TV and advertising synchronization. During this period he produced an album for Rumer, a British singer that a little later reached the Top Ten in the UK pop charts. In 2009 Alessandro produced the first Italian Burlesque show for a theatre stage, with several replicas at the Teatro Olimpico in Rome and in February 2010 he produced Villains at the Palladium Theatre with Mr Pustra and Jo Black, British singers and performers of international renown in the world of Dark Cabaret and Burlesque.

He then participated as a Director to the talent TV show (Sky) "Lady of Burlesque". In 2012 he opened his own Art Promoter website to manage shows and artists outside the Micca Club. In 2013 He have worked with the Music Supervisor Posters Randal in selecting the music for a short film by Wes Anderson for Prada.
